Tweed, Dorothy

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy May Tweed on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the age of 93 in the Brockville General Hospital. Long-time resident of Prescott, ON. Born at Forest Lawn Farm in Vankleek Hill, daughter of the late William Alexander Tweed and his wife the late Ethel Christina Tweed (nee Allen). Former wife of the late Maynard Forgie. She was much loved by her children Barbara Burchill (the late Bryan), Ruth Comeau (Bill Currie), Doreen Willis (Cameron), Jane Latimer (Steven), Wendy Kemp (Craig), and Darryl Forgie. Survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by a great-grandson. Also mourning her loss is her dear brother Allen Tweed (Lynn), her sister-in-law Betty Tweed (the late Arlington) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Ethelyn Tweed (the late Gerald MacDuff). A private family service will be held for immediate family only. Interment of ashes at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Maitland, ON.
