It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dolly Shane of Pendleton, Ontario, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Urban Shane. Dear daughter of the late William Clifford Kilgour and the late Margaret Cheaney. Loving mother of Guy (Diane Ryan), Kelvin (Tessa Johnson) and Barbara Shane. Cherished grandmother of Corina (Eric) and Lee Shane (Anne-Renée), Melanie (Troy) and Tanya Prevost (Jesse); great-grandmother of Maeve, Nora, Blake, Nova, Axel, Clyde, Colton, Evan and Pearl. Also survived by two sisters-in-law, Ellen Bouvier (late Larry) and Frances Shane (late Arnold) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers, JD (late Lucille), Cliff (late Denelda) and Blake (late Ghyslaine). Friends and relatives may call at Lamarre & Son Funeral Home, 453 St. Philippe Street, Alfred, Ontario, (613) 679-2802, on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 2 to 5 pm. Funeral Service to be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 2 pm at Our Lady of Divine Love Church, Pendleton. Spring Interment Parish Cemetery. The family would like to extend an invitation to family and friends to meet them at the church on Friday from 1 pm.
