Sauvé, Gertrude (Née Levac)

Gertrude Sauvé (née Levac) of Vankleek Hill passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the age of 96. She was the beloved daughter of the late Henri Levac and the late Aurore Bougie, and the loving wife of the late Charles Sauvé. Cherished mother of the late Luc (Nicole Décoeur), Yvon (Sue) and Normand (Debbie McAndrew). Adored grandmother to André, Mélanie, Julien, Natalie, Riley and Kaylin. Great-grandmother to Léa, Zoé, Élodie, Noémie, Enzo, Vienna, Drew Sauvé, Mikael and little angel in heaven Malory Harvey. She was predeceased by her sisters Jacqueline and Claudette and her brother Rhéal. A memorial service will be held at St. Grégoire-de-Nazianze Parish, located at 137 Higginson Street, Vankleek Hill, on February 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive relatives and friends for condolences beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church. A light luncheon will follow at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre, located at 36 Mill Street East, Vankleek Hill. In memory of Mrs. Sauvé, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Lung Association.
