Robertson, Diane Jean

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Jean Robertson on May 5, 2023, at 72 years of age at the CHUM hospital in Montreal following a brief illness. Diane was born and raised in Lachute, Quebec. She was predeceased by her mother, Isabel Scott, her father Edwin Robertson, her stepfather Victor Thorburn, her stepsister Gail Thorburn, and her dear grandson Ewan. She leaves to mourn her son Samuel Robertson (Caroline Garon), her beloved granddaughter Eilidh, her brothers Eric Robertson and James Robertson (Simone Goyette), her sister Catherine Thorburn (William Forrest), her stepbrother Brent Thorburn (Nancy Hay), her extended family siblings Rick Chabot (Francine Belisle) and Bernie Sabourin, along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends. Diane spent most of her life in Montreal and to a lesser extent in Toronto where she worked for different divisions of Bombardier. In addition, Diane also cared for two children, Victoria and more recently Jamie, who were each near and dear to her. She was an avid gardener who loved the outdoors and was an ardent animal lover. Diane was a kind and loving soul who will be sorely missed by those whose lives she touched. A special thank you to the staff at the CHUM and the CHSLD St-Georges for the care she received while there. Cremation has been entrusted to Alfred Dallaire Memoria. To remember Diane, there will be a private gathering of family and friends planned for a later date.
