Nancy Jean Partridge
(nee Lighthall)
October 20, 1943 – September 23, 2017
We announce the death of Nancy Partridge with great sadness, but with profound gratitude for her life. Nancy passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her home in Toronto. Cherished and lovingly remembered by her husband, David, her daughters, Dr. Emily Partridge (son-in-law Brad Richardson) and Tobi Poloway, and her grandchildren, Erica and Braden Poloway. Nancy was the daughter of George and Jean Lighthall (nee Campbell) of Hawkesbury. She was a graduate of the Kingston General Hospital School of Nursing (R.N. 1966) and Queens University (Bachelor of Nursing Science, 1967). She taught nursing science at Kingston, Oshawa and Toronto before leaving work to raise her two daughters. A lifelong Anglican, Nancy was always involved in church activities wherever she went, starting at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Hawkesbury and most recently as a member of the Chancel Guild at St. Paul’s Bloor Street in Toronto. A funeral service was held at St. Paul’s on September 29, 2017. Condolences, photographs and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.
