Ouimet, Roger

It is with regret that the Ouimet family announces the passing of Roger Ouimet peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, December 23, 2023, in L’Orignal at the age of 91. Born in Vankleek Hill, he was the son of the late Thomas Ouimet and the late Marie-Rose Parisien. He was predeceased by Carmen Lalonde, the mother of his children. He leaves to mourn his beloved partner Jacqueline Beaulieu (née Séguin), his sons Denis (Suzanne Saumure), Marc (Guylaine Séguin), and Gilles (Janet Harrison); his grandchildren: Mireille Ouimet (Brice Le François), Éric Ouimet (Elizabeth Hodgson), and Benoît Ouimet (Stephanie Chedraoui); his great-grandchildren, Claire, Audrey, Léo, Jayden, and Ariana; his sisters Anita Ouimet (late Roch Levac) and Berthe Ouimet (late Jean Desjardins). He was also predeceased by his sisters Fleurette (the late Conrad Charlebois) and Gisèle (the late Ambrose Pilon), his brothers Fernand (the late Lucienne Giroux) and Yvon (Auriette Sauvé) as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception at the Vankleek Hill Curling Club 136 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill. In memory of Roger, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, www.heartandstroke.ca A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in memory of Roger in the McAlpine Forever Forest in Vankleek Hill.
