Peacefully in the night at the Hawkesbury General Hospital June passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of 57 and a half years to her predeceased husband, Wilbert Henry Monteith who passed away 10 years ago. In loving memory of our wonderful mother. She was kind, generous and a fun-loving mother, yet firm and resolute. Always happy, always caring, always laughing and always making others laugh. She loved the cottage life with family and friends, and life in Florida in the winter with her husband. She loved music and to play the accordian and organ, playing Bingo, and to read romances, to crochet and knit, and to cook family recipes and make pies. She will always be remembered as a nice and funny lady with sparkling blue eyes. Her sense of humor and joy will forever inspire those who knew her. We love you always and forever. Stephen and Sue, Maureen and Anthony, Ross and Karen and Grandson Jack Cavallotto and his wife-to-be Lauren. She will be at their wedding in spirit. Dear sister of the late Frankie Mallette and Mary Lucas and sister-in-law, Barbara Redmond. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Especially Keith, Kathy, Kim and Vicki and cousin Judy and her children Andrew and Gillian and her good friend Elise. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Walford on the Hill Retirement Home and the physicians and nurses and staff at the Hawkesbury General Hospital. Special thanks to her caregiver and friend Lorette. To respect June’s wishes, the same as her late husband’s, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
