McVetty, Deborah Susan

Oct 14, 2025

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah on Oct. 7, 2025 at the age of 73. Born on March 18, 1952 in Hawkesbury. Deborah’s passions were knitting and cooking. She is survived by her children Anna Telford of Charlottetown PEI, Christopher Telford of Ottawa, and Michael Murray (Jordana) of Revelstoke B.C. Deborah’s only granddaughter Shayde Amara Murray filled her heart with love. Bob Migliardi was her companion of 20 years. She is survived by her sister Ruth (Ross) and Donna (Bill). She was surrounded by her nieces and nephews. A heartfelt thank you to Lee Boyd (Claude) who opened their hearts and home allowing the family to care for Deb. Deborah was so happy to enjoy the sunshine, gardens, birds and the many visits of her family. But seeing the little ones laughing and enjoying themselves was very special. Deborah upon hearing her prognosis stated “ I plan to live my life to its fullest and hope that you all do too!” A remembrance service will be held in late Spring 2026 at the Scotch Road Cemetery, a heritage graveyard in Grenville-sur-la- Rouge. Donations may be made in memory of Deborah to the Scotch Road Cemetery Association, a place she fondly remembers from living at MacGilvray Lake QC. Send a cheque to Graham Bocking (treasurer) at 11 Brown-Bennett Road, Grenville, Quebec, JOV 1B0. Or an e-transfer, to [email protected].
