McPhee, Joan

Joan McPhee passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on March 24, 2026, at the age of 91. Joan is survived by her daughter Jean Ann, her son-in-law Peter Mullins, and her dear grandchildren, Maddie and Ellie. Joan was predeceased by her loving husband James McPhee, and her late daughter Katherine McPhee (aka Auntie K). Joan had a successful 30-year career as a Payroll Administrator for the Prescott-Russell District School Board. A strong believer in the power of community, Joan was involved with the Women’s Institute, Ladies Aid, taught Sunday School and 4-H for many years and sang in the church choir. She was also Secretary for the Vankleek Hill Fair, which she attended annually until her 88^th year. A very special thanks goes out to the staff at the Heritage Lodge as well as the fantastic team at The Maxville Manor. The family acknowledges the loving care and support offered to Joan by Sandra Bennet in Joan’s later years. A Celebration of Joan’s life will be held on Friday, May 29^th, 2026, at Knox Presbyterian Church, 29 High Street in Vankleek Hill beginning with a visitation at 10:00 am, a service at 11:00 am, with lunch to follow.
