MacVicar, Carol Ruth

Carol Ruth MacVicar (Tomalty), age 81, of Brownsburg, went to her eternal home peacefully, her loving husband at her side, September 1, 2023 in the Lachute Hospital (Centre Hospitalier d’Argenteuil). Born in Lachute, she was a daughter of the late Lorne and Rhoda (Dixon) Tomalty. Carol was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, churches and community. Carol’s Christian faith was an essential part of her life. This can be seen in her many years volunteering with the Christian Women’s Association, as an Elder of Margaret Rogers Memorial Presbyterian Church, and as a Director of the Dalesville Cemetery. Carol will be missed by the other faithful church volunteers and members of her weekly prayer group. Carol is survived by her adoring husband, Davis, Brownsburg, QC; sons, Mark (Sarah), Brownsburg, QC; Steven (Debbie), Newcastle, ON; Larry (Jennifer), Hammonds Plains, NS; grandchildren Emily (James); Allana (Thomas); Laura (Josh); Atticus; Johnathan; Suzanne; Davis; Lauren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Merle. Visitation will be held on September 7, from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm, September 8, 12-1 pm at the Dalesville Baptist Church. The Funeral service will follow immediately after the visit tion in the Church at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Dalesville cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jocelyne Fortier for her in-home care of Carol over the past months. As well, thank you to the staff at the Lachute Hospital for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
