MacLeod Hall, William ‘Mac’

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William (Mac) MacLeod Hall on June 6, 2026, at the age of 90. He was the son of the late William Robert Hall and the late Claire MacLeod. He was the beloved husband of Carol Hall (nee Parker) and a devoted father to Kevin (Tammy), Jason (Randi), and Derek (Mary-Ann). He also leaves in sadness his cherished grandchildren: Parker, Olivia, Reagan, Memphis, Ella, Violet, Camdyn, and Declan. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Debbie, Wayne, Kent, and Janet. He was predeceased by his brother, Douglas Hall (Shirley) and brother-in-law, Donald Parker (Jean). Mac dedicated his professional life to Bell Canada, where he worked with his brother and many dear friends. He found joy in summers at Half Moon Lake, often playing guitar and singing by the campfire. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he enjoyed golfing in the summer and hockey and curling throughout the winter.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital for the exceptional care and support provided during his stay. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church (29 High Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario). In lieu of flowers, donations in William’s memory may be made to the Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute Athletic Department.
