Eva Gail passed away peacefully, with her family by her side at her residence on Monday, May 6, 2024. Eva Gail (née Markell) MacLeod of Ingleside at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of Iain MacLeod. Cherished mother of Rhonda (Martin) MacLeod-Gaudreau of Neguac NB, Roderick (Julie) of St Andrews West, Norman (Lorie), and Kenneth (Rachael) both of Long Sault. Proud grandmother of Joshua (Pamela) Lockhart, Rachel (Nick) Lockhart, Alexander Lockhart, Megan (Jerrit) Jackson, Connor (Olivia), Makayla (Darron), Tavish, Maryn (Tyler), John, Abby, Rory and Alec. Great grandmother of Pearson, Kennedy, Rhys, Blythe, Vaughn, Avery, Emma, Noah, Elaina and Grant. Dear sister of Earl (Lois) Markell, Sheila (late Donald) McKenzie, Wendy (late Derle) Froats, Donna (late Bob) Cotrell, Larry (Janet) Markell, Cindy (Kevin) Waldroff, and Allen Markell. Predeceased by her parents Lloyd Markell, Eva (née Babcock) Markell, step father Carl Peever, her sister Carol (George) Otto and her brother Gordon (Henriette) Markell. Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home, West Branch 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday May 12 and Monday, May 13, 2024 from 9 a.m. until the time of Funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday May 13, 2024 in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Kirkhill United Church Cemetery North Glengarry.
