Peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 7, 2017, Jean Margaret Lipton (nee Kohl) of St. Isidore, age 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Charles Lipton. Loving mother of Laura Lipton of St. Isidore, David Lipton (Danièle) of Ottawa and Bill Lipton of St. Bernardin. Cherished grandmother of Rahul, Rosie, Emma and Mathew. Dear sister of Carolyn Preston (late Steven) of Regina and Dorian Smedley (Ken) of B.C. Predeceased by one brother, Lawrence Kohl (late Pat), and by her parents, Frederick and Olive Kohl (nee Lindsey). Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Cremation will follow. At Jean’s request there will be no Funeral Service following the visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Montfort Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Jean a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods.
