Lavigne, Hervé

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Hervé Lavigne, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Violette Lavigne (née Dewar), he was the son of the late Marc Lavigne and the late Jeanne Lavigne (née Hayes). Hervé is survived by his adored children: Raymond (Monique), Denise (Roger) and Guy (Irène). He was a loving and devoted grandfather to Véronique (Sébastien), François, Alexandra, Alexia (David) and Jonathan (Jean-Luc), and a remarkable great-grandfather to Olivier and Vincent. He was a dear friend of the late Jeanne D’Arc. He is predeceased by his brother and sisters, John (late Jeanne D’Arc), Madeleine (late René), and Hélène (late Gaston). He was also predeceased by his sister-in-law Noëlla (late Ronald) and brothers-in-law Norman (late Simone) and Hervé (late Olive). Hervé is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family invites relatives and friends to Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario, on Monday, September 2, 2024, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St-Grégoire-de-Nazianze Parish, 137 Higginson, Vankleek Hill, Ontario, on Tuesday, September 3 at 11 a.m. For those who wish, donations to the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. A tree in Hervé’s memory will be planted in Vankleek Hill’s McAlpine Forest.
