Evans, Vera

Peacefully on New Year’s Day, January 1st, 2024, in Tremblant, Quebec, Vera Jane Evans passed away at the age of 99. Vera was born in Arundel, Quebec on December 12th, 1924, to the late Theodore Evans and Winnifred Bennett. She lived her entire life in her hometown, where she was raised. Vera was predeceased by her first husband, Walter McMahon, and their son, Donald. She was also predeceased by her second husband, Robert Evans. Vera was a beloved sister to the late Iris (late Franklin Keatley), the late Edgar (late Ada) and the late Allan (Joan). She was a cherished Aunt to nieces, nephews, and their families, who will miss her deeply. We celebrate Vera’s life and legacy, and we remember her with fondness and love. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life that will take place in Arundel in spring 2024. The details will follow when confirmed. In memory of Vera, a donation to The Arundel United Church, 12 Rue du Village, Arundel, QC J0T 1A0, would be greatly appreciated by her family. A Tree of Remembrance for Vera will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest, Vankleek Hill.
