Peacefully at the Hawkesbury General Hospital on Monday, April 3, 2023 with his family by his side, Simon Desjardins of Vankleek Hill passed away at the age of 64. Predeceased by his parents Roger Desjardins and Rolande Lalonde. Beloved husband and best friend of Yvonne Lambert. Proud and loving father of Angie Addesso (Mike Nevers) and Shaun Addesso (Crissy). Dearly loved grandfather of Elodie (Cole), Beth (Jacob), Mathieu, Anthony, Kevin (Brianna), Ella and Zoë. Dear brother of Suzanne, Linda (Jean Claude) and Carole. Fond son-in-law of Modeste Lambert and the late Roger Lambert. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Simon was a hard worker, whether it was doing repairs on a tractor or machinery, he could fix anything. When he was not busy in his shop, he and Yvonne would be working together on one of their many projects at home. In between projects Simon loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and sharing his skills and knowledge. Relatives and friends may visit at the Hillcrest Funeral Home Ltd., 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm. A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at St Grégoire Cemetery, Vankleek Hill. In memory of Simon a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
