Currier, George

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Edward Currier on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. Loving husband and best friend for 62 years to Annette Currier (née Michaud). Caring father of Kelly (Helga), Wanda, Patty (Doug) and the late Kevin. Proud grandfather to Kristine, Kevin, Dan, Melissa, Chelsea and Jessica also great-grandfather to Talon and Tessa. Predeceased by his parents Dolphus Currier and Thelma O’Byrne, and by his twelve siblings. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may attend a visitation at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St S, Maxville, 613-527-2898 on Friday July 14, 2023 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm; and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church on Saturday July 15, 2023 at 11 am. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to George, a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
