As she lived her life, Barbara Cunning (nee Bangs) passed away with dignity, surrounded by love in her 101st year on September 26, 2022. Predeceased by her beloved husband, the love of her life, William (Bill) Cunning in 2014. She remains in the hearts of her daughters Julie Lower (John) of Prince Edward County and Dale MacMillan (Ewen) of Orleans. Dearly loved grandmother of John Doull (Carolyn), Darlene Lower (Ryan), Susan Lower, Conall MacMillan, Dexter MacMillan (Laura) and Tavis MacMillan (Courtney). Great-grandmother to Connor, Quinn, Violet and Hailey. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by her seven brothers and sisters as well as their spouses and Cunning in-laws. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Funeral on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11 am at Saint-Grégoire-de-Nazianze Catholic Church, 137 Higginson Street, Vankleek Hill. Interment for both Barbara and Bill will take place at Barb Cemetery, St-Eugène, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Vankleek Hill Curling, 136 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, to share memories and raise a glass in her honour. Special thank you to the staff at the Chapel Hill Seniors Residence in Orleans for their love and care during her last few years as well as for everyone who visited, sent cards, or called.
