The family of William (Bill) Carson would like to thank everyone for their acts of kindness, and the love and support shown to us in this difficult time. The beautiful flowers and delicious meals we received were very much appreciated, along with the many phone calls, visits, messages of condolence, donations and sympathy cards. It was wonderful to see all the people who attended the Celebration of Life, some who we haven’t seen in a long time and some who travelled a long way to be with us. Hearing how they remembered Dad and how he touched their lives was very special and certainly eased our pain. That would have made Dad very happy. We thank our friends who may not have known our Dad, but who came to support us and our families and show us their love. Thank you, Sharon, for the beautiful song. And thank you all for toasting Dad with a shot of “swamp water” in his honour. That meant a lot to us. Special thanks go out to Mark and Lisa Henderson and the rest of the staff of Hillcrest Funeral Home. They made this difficult time much easier to get through. To the Royal Canadian Legion for use of their facility and for the way they looked after everyone. To the Masons of Argenteuil Lodge No. 67 for presenting the family with Dad’s 70 year Bar and performing the Masonic service. To Tim McRae and staff for the delicious food. To the Heritage Lodge staff who looked after Dad for the last several years. He told us many times about how well he was taken care of. To the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital staff who cared for Dad during his last days with kindness and compassion.
