Peacefully at the Hawkesbury District & General Hospital on Sunday, October 16, 2022 Gerry Brizard of Vankleek Hill passed away at the age of 78. Predeceased by his parents Alphonse Brizard and Evangéline Monette. Predeceased by his first wife Denyse Sauvé. Beloved life partner and best friend of Lise Lacombe. Loving father of Lucie (Darrell), Eric, Karine, Shawn (Véronique), Marie Ève (Carl). Cherished Grandpa and PePére of Brittany, Brooke, Cody, Briana, Jeremy, Kadeeja, Maxyme, Shyler and Alexy. Great-grandfather of Luca, Bodhi, Laine. Dear brother of Joseph (the late Joan), François (Suzanne), Benoît (Francine),Thérèse (the late Marcel), Antonine (the late Guy) and Marie-Reine (Jean Claude). Predeceased by his brother Jean-Coeur and his sisters Andrée, Madeline, Marie- Claire et Roxane. Sadly missed by the Lacombe family; Francine and Gordon Bates, Dean and Deborah Lacombe, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Gerry was very passionate about his work, having been in business for over 50 years. He loved taking trips on his motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time outside and observing all of nature’s beauty. He could often be found feeding the Hummingbirds out of his hand. Gerry always enjoyed a nice cold beer and sharing a story with someone. A Private Service will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
