Mr. Raoul Berlinguette of Hawkesbury passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the age of 93. He was the loving husband of the late Denise Poitras and Elizabeth Berlinguette, née Kirby; the son of the late Almanzor Berlinguette and the late Laura Jérome; the beloved father of Sylvie (Yves Boies); the cherished father-in-law of Karen (Ian Mac Leod), Heather (Alain St-Denis), Mark Higginson (Suzanne Hawkes), and Lawrence Higginson; the adored grandfather of Patrick, Daniel, Pierre, Catherine, Isabelle, Scott, Ashley, Brad, Paul, Charles, Jean-Marc, Ryan, and Morgan; the great-grandfather of several great-grandchildren; the dear brother of Gilles (Pauline), Claire (Fernand Berniqué), Jocelyne (Jean-Guy Vallière) and Jean-Guy (late Pierrette). He was predeceased by two daughters: Carmen and Manon. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. A veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, Raoul served his country with honor and dedication. Proud of his accomplishments and years of service, he remained an active and respected member of the Canadian Legion in Hawkesbury.
