It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Pierre Beaudry domiciled in Lefaivre, Ontario, formerly of Montreal and originally from Shawinigan, Quebec. Surrounded by his family, he passed away peacefully at his residence as he wished, on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the age of 67 years. He was the beloved spouse of Jacinthe Desmarais; the son of the late Jean-Paul Beaudry and the late Andrée Méthot; the father of Florence Babin-Beaudry and the late Gaëlle Babin-Beaudry. Also survived by his sister, Ginette Beaudry; his brothers by marriage Denis Leduc (Anne Sauze) and Yves Leduc (Patricia Héno) and their mother, Rita Martel, as well as his nieces, Pascale-Aymée, Mélanie and Emmanuelle. Pierre was well-known to the people of the area of Hawkesbury for his involvement with L’Amie de la santé since 2004. He had a degree in Law (Member of the Barreau du Québec) and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and worked for nearly 30 years in the field of civil aviation at the national and international levels. He was the lead of the battle of French in the air in Quebec; which allowed the choice of French language for the airplane pilots. Created in 1975, the Association des gens de l’air du Québec has conducted an active campaign to make French available throughout the airspace in Quebec. A private Celebration will be held at a later date.
