Back in the spring we mentioned that there was a possibility of a Women’s Rec Ice Hockey League starting in VKH. We can now say that it’s official!
Thanks to the sponsors and the women who have registered, the league will start Friday Sept 17, 2021.
The league will consist of four teams playing at 9:30pm and 10:30pm Friday evenings. The teams consist of girls of all calibers. Some are just beginning and others have played as high as University Level as well as all age groups.
League organizer, Lee Clement, states that the goal is encourage women to stay active and socialize in whatever capacity you can. We hope more women will feel comfortable coming out even if they are just staring out.
The league is still looking to fill a couple spots. If your interested, please contact Lee at [email protected]
