African Journeying with Ancestors, Nature and Spirit – VKH

July 28, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

$30

An evening talk with John Lockley.

John Lockley is a traditionally trained Sangoma (African Shaman) from the Xhosa nation, the same tribe as Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu.

He will be offering shamanic teachings from South Africa; focusing on ancestors, Ubuntu (humanity) and dreams.

A key question is ‘what does it mean to be a human being?’ And ‘How can we realise our humanity?’

In Africa to connect with spirit means to dance and sing. John leads his talks like a ceremony, with storytelling, dancing and chanting in the Xhosa language. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn about one of the oldest shamanic cultures in the world, the sangoma medicine people from South Africa.
