To the Editor,
I wish to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who helped with my election campaign for Ward 1 Municipal Councillor. I thank my friends and neighbours who encouraged and supported my decision to run for council, and to those who kindly provided lawn space for my signs. Special thanks to Bonnie Laing for her proofreading, to Greg Byers for his photography, to Reg Harden for his help knocking on doors, and most importantly, to my family.
I would also like to thank the township staff for their work in supporting this election process and all the candidates who put their names forward to serve our community. It takes commitment to step forward, and I respect everyone who chose to participate in the election.
Finally, thank you and merci to the voters for your support and confidence in me, and to all voters who chose to exercise their democratic right to vote and be heard.
Sincerely,
Martin Kaufman
Councillor-Elect
Ward 1 Vankleek Hill
Champlain Township
