The quaintest, old-fashioned country fair in the area took place from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30.
The Riceville Fair featured a variety of events and exhibits showcasing the community’s agricultural surroundings and traditions. Some of these include English and Western horse shows; competitions for various crops, foods, flowers, and crafts; truck and tractor pulls; games for all ages, and a beef cattle show.
And no fair is complete without lots of good food and entertainment. There was plenty of both throughout the weekend, along with a vendor marketplace on Saturday.
