Road work season continues, and this time, it’s going to be on Highway 417 until late next year.
From August 17 to November 30, 2027, a two-year project for asphalt repairs, concrete resurfacing, and pavement marking will take place on Highway 417 between the Dunvegan Road overpass in the west and the County Road 4 and 14 (Exit 5) interchange in the east near Chute-à-Blondeau.
The work will result in temporary closure of the ramps at the Barb Road (County Road 10/Exit 17) interchange.
In addition, one lane will be closed in both the eastbound and westbound directions during the project. The Barb Road and Highway 17 (Exit 9) ramps may be closed at certain times as construction progresses. Advance notice will be provided before ramp closures take place.
The Ministry of Transportation has awarded Louis W. Bray Construction Limited a two-year contract for construction work along Highway 417.
Construction will be suspended for the winter season around November 30, 2026, and will resume in 2027.
