Dr. Royce MacGillivray Ph.d Harvard, retired history professor, historian, researcher and author of Dictionary of Glengarry Biography and many other books celebrated his 90th birthday with his partner Dr. Nelson Joannette, including some of the Shen Yun Performance Group on Wednesday, May 13 at Sassafraz Restaurant in Toronto. Entertainment and background music was also provided by a piper and pianist/soloist. Forty people gathered for an unforgettably elegant evening from California, Mexico, Arthur, Brantford, Hamilton, Killarney (Ontario), Toronto and Glengarry to congratulate and wish him well. Dr. MacGillivray was born in Alexandria.
