Higginson, Gordon Lawrence

Gordon Lawrence Higginson died peacefully on April 22, 2026, with family around him, at Hawkesbury General Hospital. Raised on Green Lane, he was a full-time farmer of Vankleek Hill. He was predeceased by his parents Howard and Marcelline (Perrier) Higginson and his Alberta brother Howard Jr. Gordon leaves his wife Mary (Burdett), son Adam and Melanie(Conway), Ainsley Higginson, Colesie and Taylen Malloy and their families. He is survived by three siblings Alice, Jean and Richard, many nieces and their families. They will miss his jokes and holiday excursions as he was generous with his time. He will be missed by his brother-in- law Bob Burdett, his children and their mother. As well as treasuring his extended family and horses, Gordon was satisfied with the seasons of farm life. We recognize those of the Ottawa Cancer Centre plus the excellent treatment and care from those at the Hawkesbury General Hospital. An act of kindness or help to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Visitation will be at Hillcrest Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 1 to 3pm and 7 to 9pm. A private burial will take place.
