On Monday, March 16, 2026, Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry (SDG) Counties Council received a report detailing the total remuneration paid to each council member in 2025. The remuneration for the year totalled $265,679.52.

The 2025 total represents a decrease of approximately 1.25 per cent, or $3,357.28, compared with the 2024 total of $269,036.80.

In 2025, most of the expenditures went to councillors’ salaries, which totalled $215,107.84, followed by meeting remuneration at $31,021.86 and mileage reimbursement at $10,770.22. Conference-related remuneration accounted for $8,779.60.

Each councillor received $15,726.12, except for Councillor François Landry of North Stormont, who is the 2026 Warden, earned $16,741.29, and 2025 SDG Counties Warden Martin Lang, who earned $41,105.35. By comparison, in 2024, each councillor received $15,357.68, with Councillor Martin Lang earning $16,349.05, and 2024 Warden Jamie MacDonald earning $40,141.93.
