These days the international news is all doom and gloom. Fortunately, we live in Eastern Ontario where we are surrounded by beauty, great community and no traffic congestion.
Within each community there are those who volunteer to form groups. They put on a variety of events throughout the year.
Recently, we have a newly established community-based theatre group, High and Main Productions providing a venture that offers value both to residents and local culture.
The goal of High and Main Productions is to provide thought-provoking productions shining a spotlight on great stories that reflect our shared experiences, diverse voices and ages. It is a great place to gather and connect.
High and Main Productions is more than a performing arts group – it is a platform for creative expression, community engagement, and local talent development. It offers opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to participate. This initiative encourages collaboration across the community. Whether as actors, set designers, musicians, fund raisers, or front and back of house management – individuals are welcomed to contribute their unique skills, building confidence, knowledge and friendships.
Community members are encouraged to join the group, attend upcoming performances and support this fledgling theatre troupe. Let’s celebrate and nurture this exciting new chapter for local arts!
