Grenville was among the local communities where guignolées were taking place during the previous weekend. On Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30, members of Knights of Columbus Council 3188 and volunteers were collecting cash donations at busy intersections in the village. Donations of non-perishable food items and cash were also being collected in the basement of Notre-Dame-des Sept Douleurs church.
The items collected during the guignolée are used to provide food boxes for local families in need during the Christmas season.
