A major reconstruction project on Catherine Street in Hawkesbury is going ahead soon.
On Monday, May 26, town council approved awarding the contract for rehabilitating Catherine Street between Lansdowne Street and Sinclair Street to Hawkesbury Transport and Excavation for $1,253,081, plus sales tax.
The project includes the installation of new underground services and full road reconstruction.
Treasurer Philippe Timbers said the amount of the contract is within the $2.5 million that had been allocated in the town’s 2025 capital budget.
