Unfortunately, this strike comes at a very inopportune time: many Christmas cards and gifts are usually sent at this time of year. (Note to young readers: No worries – Santa Claus and his elves have a magical and foolproof system – your letters will reach them on time, we promise!) Additionally, this is also a crucial period for charitable donations, as many people seek to make contributions before the end of the year to benefit from tax advantages.
