The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has issued sexual offence-related charges against a Clarence-Rockland resident.

On Tuesday, November 19, members of the Russell County OPP Crime Unit arrested an individual in relation to a child luring investigation.

Jason Lauzon-Couvillon, age 36, from Clarence-Rockland, was charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with:

  • Sexual Interference
  • Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication

The accused is to appear in court in L’Orignal on December 18, 2024.

Police are attempting to identify any other possible victims of similar crimes. Anyone with any information regarding this investigation is being asked to contact Detective Constable Cory Tremblay at 613-443-4499 or toll free at 1-888-310-1122.
