On Sunday, August 25, the Glengarry Pioneer Museum will be hosting a ‘sweet’ event for the entire family…the Glengarry Honey Fair!

This is the second time the museum has hosted the Honey Fair, which is a celebration of bees, from pioneer times to present.

Local beekeepers and artisans will be on site selling their goods. The attending beekeepers will have their honey judged by members of the community. Visitors will also have the opportunity to sample and vote on who has the best honey, so spread the word because every vote counts.

There will be fun for all ages, with a children’s tent and the opening of the Star Inn tavern. Children will be able to have their face painted, build their own bee house for their garden and create bee-themed crafts!  Anyone over the age of 19 is welcome to buy a drink in the oldest bar in Ontario…the Star Inn!

Admission is $12 per person ($6 for museum members) and $30 for families ($15 for member families). There will be an on-site refreshment booth offering beverages, snacks and light lunches.

The Glengarry Pioneer Museum is located at the corner of county roads 24 and 30 in Dunvegan.
