The pancakes were going well…like hotcakes in Vankleek Hill on Sunday, May 5. And, hungry people helped raise $8,200 for the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) Foundation.
The annual Russell Gauley Pancake Day took place in the hall at the Vankleek Hill Fairgrounds.
Presented by the Hawkesbury Rotary Club and Vankleek Hill community members, the breakfast raises money for the HGH Foundation to assist the Chemotherapy Department at HGH.
In addition to being a community event, the Russell Gauley Pancake Day is a family event. Four generations of the Lawton family were
together serving.
