The Québec government plans to spend $449,342,000 during the next two years on highway improvements across the Laurentides region.
The announcement was made in Blainville on Friday, April 12 by Minister of Transport and Deputy Premier Geneviève Guilbault.
According to the Ministère des transports 2024-2026 investment list, preparations continue for widening and safety improvements on Autoroute 50 between Mirabel and L’Ange-Gardien near Gatineau. The project has received accelerated status and has been recommended by the coroner due to the series of fatal collisions on the section of mostly two-lane highway.
The only project specifically within Argenteuil on the list for 2024 to 2026 are plans to rehabilitate a bridge on Route 327 in the northeastern part of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge. That project is in the preparation stage and a call for tenders from companies interested in completing the work will be issued this year.
