McRae, Eric

Peacefully at the Kemptville General Hospital on Friday, September 1, 2023 with family by his side, Eric McRae of Kemptville, Ontario formerly of Vankleek Hill passed away at the age of 95. Beloved husband of Irene (née Nixon) and stepfather to Cheryl Cable (Reginald) and Susan Boivin (Michel). Predeceased by wife Nancy Clarke, sisters Edna Barton, Mabel MacDonald, Rita Hicks and brothers Elmer McRae, Melvin McRae and Glen McRae. Also survived by his sisters-in-law Anne McRae and Grace Stewart (John). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to a reception on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 12 pm to 3 pm at the Vankleek Hill Curling Club, 136 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill. A private burial was held at the McLaughlin Cemetery, Vankleek Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations to the McLaughlin Cemetery (c/o Jean Kerr, 641 MacCallum’s Lane, Vankleek Hill, Ontario, K0B 1R0) would be appreciated.
