On October 7, Sûreté du Québec officers conducted two searches and made two arrests in Grenville related to drug-related offenses.

Police officers executed a search warrant targeting a residence and a vehicle on Rue Principale. Men aged 57 and 72 were arrested at the scene and subsequently released. They will appear in court at a later date at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse, where they could face charges related to narcotics, illegal cannabis, and offences under the Tax and Tobacco Act.

Police seized approximately 34 grams of hashish, more 175 grams of edible cannabis, two grams of cocaine, more than 300 contraband cigarettes, and $1,640 in cash.

The operation stems from an investigation launched following information received from the public.
