Just in time for the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on Wednesday, September 30, a celebration of Indigenous culture and heritage took place on Sunday, September 27 in Vankleek Hill.
The Children of the Earth Festival is organized by Melanie Villeneuve, also known as Snow Bear.
Activities and events at the festival included talks by Haudenosaunee Elder Tom Dearhouse, First Nations and Inuit storytelling, a variety of styles of Indigenous dancing, and food and craft activities.
