On Wednesday, September 9, the Municipalité régionale de comté (MRC) d’Argenteuil Council awarded a three-year contract for the MRC’s adapted and collective transportation services.
According to MRC Director General Éric Pelletier, three bids were received through a public tender process. One was deemed non-compliant, while a selection committee evaluated the other two.
The MRC’s adapted transportation service provides transportation for people with disabilities or mobility limitations through reservations. The collective transportation service provides shared transportation options for residents of the Argenteuil region.
The contract awarded to Groupe Loyal is estimated at $393,380 and will take effect on November 1, 2026.
Groupe Loyal’s bid was $136,100 lower than the other compliant bid submitted by Taxi Argenteuil, which was $529,480. The contract’s actual cost will depend on the number of trips required, and the MRC estimates the value based on projected demand, Pelletier said.
