FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Meet your Champlain Township municipal election candidates on September 30

Residents are invited to hear from candidates in the Champlain Township municipal election at a public meeting hosted by The Review on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting will take place on the upper level of the Vankleek Hill Community Centre, 36 Mill Street East, Vankleek Hill. It is an opportunity to get to know the candidates, hear their views on local issues and learn more about their priorities for the township.

The Review is inviting residents to submit questions in advance. Questions must be received before 5 p.m. on Friday, September 25. Six questions will be selected from the submissions and shared with candidates ahead of the meeting.

Participating candidates will begin with brief opening remarks. Mayoral candidates will then answer the selected questions, with councillor candidates also given the opportunity to respond. The evening will conclude with closing remarks from each candidate.

Residents are encouraged to take part by submitting a question and attending the meeting to hear directly from those seeking to represent their community.
