On Monday, August 17, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers laid drug-trafficking related charges following the execution of a search warrant in Hawkesbury.

As a result of the investigation, officers seized approximately 47 grams of suspected cocaine, $305 in Canadian currency, a digital scale and a cell phone.

As a result of the investigation, Bertrand Boucher, 68 years old, of Hawkesbury, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Original on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
