A July 2 traffic stop in Hawkesbury resulted in a drug charge.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop on Main Street shortly after 6 p.m. As part of the investigation, officers seized more than 250 suspected methamphetamine (speed) pills and a sum of cash.
Following the investigation, Mathieu Tremblay, 36, of Hawkesbury, was charged with the following offence:
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on August 12, 2026.
