Chrome, four-barrel carburetors, big-block V-8’s and maybe even some soft Corinthian leather will be returning to downtown Hawkesbury on Labour Day weekend.
After a year on hiatus, the Hawkesbury Auto Expo is back on Sunday, September 6. The last time the big gathering on Main Street of classic cars and their drivers was held was in 2024.
The renewed 2026 Auto Expo is being presented by the Club d’Autos Hawkesbury Auto Club in partnership with the Club Optimiste de Hawkesbury and the downtown COMZAC-BIA.
But there’s no need for local enthusiasts of the days of tailfins, bench seats, and three-speed manual transmissions to wait until Labour Day weekend to get their fix of antique automobiles. All summer long, the auto club has cruise nights each Wednesday evening, weather permitting, in the side parking lot by Cameron Street at Asselin Your Independent Grocer in Hawkesbury.
