A second suspect is now facing charges in connection with the death of a Clarence-Rockland man in 2025.
On Thursday, June 11, 37-year-old Jessica St. Michael of Ottawa, was arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of Gatineau Police and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
· First degree murder, s. 235(1)
· Indignity to a body, s. 182(b)
The accused remains in custody and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Friday, June 12.
The arrest and charges against St. Michael are related to the death of 63-year-old Robert Prevost of Clarence-Rockland. On May 17, 2025, police found a body in the Ottawa River in Clarence Rockland which was later identified as Prevost. He had been missing since early February 2025.
On June 4, Luc Decarie of St-Gabriel-de-Brandon, Québec was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with; First degree murder, s. 231(2); Indignity to a body, s. 182; and Conspiracy to commit murder, s. 465(1)(a) in relation to the death of Robert Prevost.
