The Lift Me Up! fundraising campaign to purchase lifts for individuals who will live at the new Prescott and Russell Residence in Hawkesbury has been highly successful. On Wednesday, May 27, the Prescott and Russell Residence Foundation presented a contribution of more than $258,000 to the United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) for the purchase of the lifts.
The May 11 contribution follows a previous $250,000 contribution made in 2024, bringing the total amount raised by the Lift Me Up! campaign to more than $508,000.
“Thanks to the generosity of our donors and to the remarkable engagement of our community, the Foundation achieved its objective of obtaining 204 motorized lifts for residents destined for the new Residence,” said Foundation President Denise Robitaille.
The lifts will be installed in each bedroom and bathroom at the Residence and will make it much easier and safer for staff and residents alike.
The Prescott and Russell Residence Foundation thanks all individuals, organizations, and businesses who contributed to the Lift Me Up! campaign.
UCPR Warden Mario Zanth thanked the Foundation for their excellent work on the campaign.
