Thousands of people were in the spirit of the Renaissance on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday May 31 at the fairgrounds in Maxville. The Glengarry Renaissance Festival attracted performers and entertainment with the accents of that period in history. Most spectators were in costumes of some kind which highlighted a subculture all its own. The sunny weather was also far from being in the dark ages, which made the festival even more enjoyable for the many who attended.
