Hawkesbury Councillor André Chamaillard has been placed on official leave.
Council adopted a resolution granting the leave on Monday, May 11.
The longtime councillor has been absent from council meetings for two months.
No reason for Chamaillard’s absence or the need for leave was given.
Mayor Robert Lefebvre thanked Chamaillard for his service as a councillor and said he occasionally speaks with Chamaillard and reported he is doing well.
